I got the chance to film and edit the first live reading of my good friend David Zayas’ new autobiographical play I Don’t Speak Spanish at the Gamut Theater in Harrisburg, PA.
David wrote, directed and performed in this original piece and even invited my sister and I to contribute our stories of growing up latino and struggling with the language in his research.
This performance was the first reading of his new play, and it’s official debut will be in January of 2022. Hope you make it, and for a limited time only, check out the performance on video below.
